Good software starts with understanding the problem.
I am Niklas Wolf, a software architect and engineer from Au in der Hallertau, Germany. For more than ten years, I have been planning and developing web-based software and e-commerce solutions.

Professional background
Experience from architecture to implementation.
After completing my master’s degree, I specialized in developing modern web applications. For many years, I have worked at Mothership GmbH on e-commerce projects for well-known companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
My work focuses on structuring technical requirements, designing web-based system architectures and putting them into practice. My technology stack includes PHP, TypeScript, Vue and React, along with extensive experience with Shopware.
As a freelancer, I bring this experience to focused projects, consulting assignments and specialized technical challenges. My availability depends on the scope and schedule of each project.

Open standards, documented interfaces and well-maintained open-source components preserve room to make future decisions.
Open source
Software built together can strengthen independence.
Open-source software is an important part of technological sovereignty for me. It creates transparency, enables collaborative development and can keep essential business processes from becoming entirely dependent on individual vendors.
At the same time, being open source is not an automatic mark of quality. A technology must be actively maintained, operated securely and suitable for the specific use case. I therefore favor pragmatic evaluation over purely ideological decisions.
Through my regular contributions to the Shopware project, I also experience open source from the perspective of an active contributor.
Beyond code
I love to create.
I also enjoy creating things outside software development: as a musician, through design work and wherever technology and creativity come together. I am also enthusiastic about football and American football.
